It's a really neat concept, but some airlines currently won't even allow service dogs in the cabin. Even if the dogs are incredibly well-behaved. They mostly see it as a FLIGHT RISK. I'm not sure how people with service dogs travel on a plane. Most of the service dogs I know personally, usually just sit by their owners and wait for things to happen. They're not running up and down the aisles or scream a lot like kids do.
Thank you, Squizz, for your thoughtful feedback! You raise an important point about the challenges faced by service dog owners when traveling by air. It's true that many airlines have strict policies regarding pets in the cabin, often citing safety concerns. BARK Air aims to address these issues by creating a more accommodating and comfortable environment for all dogs, including service animals. I hope that by setting this new standard, other airlines might be inspired to reconsider their policies and make air travel more inclusive for everyone. Thanks again for sharing your perspective!
I am in full support of the message (and service) BARK Air is sending. Dogs matter!
Nice idea! I do hope the prices come down though. Thanks for all your informative articles!.
Thank you, Adele! I agree, hopefully this concept will catch on and drive the prices down. It has to start somewhere.
